BlueFish Expo 2017
BlueFish Expo was held for the first time in Ålesund in 2017. The aim of the fair was to establish a new meeting place for the fishing industry, with a particular focus on the actors along the Norwegian coast and the strong maritime cluster in the region.
Ålesund and Sunnmøre have for generations been closely tied to fisheries and marine industries, and the initiative for BlueFish Expo grew out of the desire to bring the industry together in an area with long traditions in both harvesting, technology and processing.
The first fair brought together exhibitors from several parts of the fishing industry – from suppliers of technology and equipment to services related to operations, logistics and processing. Visitors had the opportunity to meet suppliers, make new contacts and gain insight into developments in the industry.
BlueFish Expo 2017 marked the start of a new arena for knowledge sharing, collaboration and networking in the fishing industry. The event laid the foundation for the further development of the fair, and established BlueFish Expo as a meeting place for both exhibitors and visitors in the years that followed.
BlueFish Expo 2019
BlueFish Expo 2019 was held in Ålesund on 3–5 September in Sparebanken Møre Arena. The trade fair once again brought together players from across the entire fishing industry and established BlueFish as an important meeting place for the industry.
Exhibitors from various parts of the sector presented products, technology and services related to catch, processing and logistics. The trade fair gave visitors the opportunity to meet suppliers, make new contacts and gain insight into developments in the industry.
As part of the program, several seminars and professional gatherings were held during the trade fair. One of the main events was Nordea's fisheries seminar, where sustainability and new technology were central. Speakers included representatives from Nordea, Fiskebåt, Nofima, Marine Stewardship Council, Norwegian Seafood Council, Selstad, Optimar, MMC First Process, Cflow, Kongsberg Maritime and Vard.

BlueFish Expo 2022
BlueFish Expo was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed by one year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions that applied to events and travel activity.
When the fair could once again be held in 2022, it was with great anticipation from both exhibitors and visitors. After a period of limited meeting places in the industry, BlueFish Expo became an important opportunity to meet again, share experiences and take a closer look at developments in the fishing industry.
The fair brought together players from different parts of the industry and made room for both professional discussions, networking and presentation of new solutions and technology. BlueFish Expo thus continued to develop as a meeting place for suppliers, shipping companies, fishermen and other players in the maritime and marine industries.
The event also confirmed the need for physical meeting places in the industry, where knowledge, experiences and new ideas can be shared across professional communities.
BlueFish Expo 2023
BlueFish Expo 2023 was held in Ålesund and once again brought together stakeholders from across the fishing industry for a few content-rich days at Sparebanken Møre Arena.
The fair served as an important meeting place where suppliers, shipping companies, fishermen, and other industry stakeholders could meet, exchange experiences, and gain insight into developments in the industry. Exhibitors presented products, technology, and services related to various parts of the fishing industry.
As in previous years, BlueFish Expo also provided professional content through lectures, seminars, and discussions on current topics for the industry. A focus on technology, sustainability, and development in the seafood industry was a central element during the event.
BlueFish Expo 2023 helped strengthen the fair as an established meeting place for the fishing industry and once again showed the importance of bringing the industry together for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and networking.

BlueFish Expo 2025
BlueFish Expo 2025 was held in Ålesund on 2–4 September at Sparebanken Møre Arena, and was the largest and most successful trade fair in BlueFish's history.
Over three days, the trade fair brought together players from across the fishing industry for professional content, meetings and networking. In the conference hall inside the arena, a number of relevant talks and presentations were held on topics related to developments in the industry.
The official opening took place on Tuesday, 2 September. On Wednesday, the traditional BlueFish party was held, and during the fair, separate activities were also carried out for both shipowners and crew.
BlueFish Expo was an important meeting place for the fishing industry in the autumn of 2025. Topics such as sustainability, technology and resource utilization were central in both the talks and the conversations on the exhibition floor.
Exhibitors met customers, made new contacts and presented products and solutions for the industry.
We extend a big thank you to our partners who helped make BlueFish Expo 2025 a successful and important meeting place for the fishing industry.
